St. Charles City and County Library District ... Your local library provides a variety of materials for families.  Check out their website to see all of the activities and items that they have to offer.  


United Way 2-1-1 ... three-digit dialing from all landlines and some cell phones. A fast, free and confidential way to get help 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If your cell phone provider does not offer 2-1-1 call the center at (800) 427-4626. There are a hundred reasons to call. Here's just a short list of ways 2-1-1 can help:

  • BASIC AND EMERGENCY NEEDS: Food pantries; shelters; rent and utility assistance
  • WORK INITIATIVES: Educational and vocational training programs; English as a second language classes; job training; GED preparation; Financial and transportation assistance
  • SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN, YOUTH AND FAMILIES: After-school programs; tutoring; mentorship programs; family resource centers; protective services; counseling; early childhood learning programs; child care referral centers; recreation
