PPI Logo Fort Zumwalt School District is proud to recognize Educator of the Year Tracy Hall and Employee of the Year Molly Bolnick for the work they do every day. Each year, employees, parents and students in Fort Zumwalt have the opportunity to celebrate a certified teacher or support staff member for this recognition in their school. The building educators and employees of the year are then considered for the district level award.

Tracy Hall is the Reading Specialist at JL Mudd Elementary School in O’Fallon. The school serves about 450 students grades K-2. Her efforts to build the strongest readers she can came together last fall in an event that welcomed more than 200 parents and students to the school’s first Reading Night. “Each family got a goody bag to take home with MANY reading games, helpful resources and fun reading activities, all mirroring the activities they participated in throughout the evening,” one nomination read. “Tracy had an idea, came up with a vision, and executed all of the details, all while having a smile on her face the entire time.”

Molly Bolnick, the School Nurse at East High School in St. Peters, is also recognized for the positive attitude she brings to work. As the School Nurse her clinic is more than a place to get a Band-Aid or some headache medicine. Bolnick’s clinic is a place students come to fix their eyeglasses, to mend torn clothing, or to talk something through. Staff also expressed their appreciation for her positivity, her compassion, and her expertise. Her ability to quickly assess a situation, whether the patient is a student or colleague, and her decisive actions inspire confidence in those around her.

Congratulations to both!
