I had a blast visiting Ms. Plummer's class today! After students completed their iReady assessment, they went on to work on phonemes! It is always a great day to be a Mustang!

6th grade math does a great job with incorporating success criteria in their classroom! They have 4-3-2-1 for students to self assess where they’re at within the learning process. Mrs. Hitt had students work projected on the board for students to see and they got to talk in their group and determine if their work was a 4-3-2-1 and then talk about why. This gives students ownership of their learning which has a high impact on their learning! 🧮#ItsAGreatDayToBeAMustang

Ms. Grant and her students are working hard on connecting to their novels! Students were also learning about analogies!

Our PPI Leaders had their first lesson prep yesterday! Our Leaders are getting geared up to teach students how to get connected at South Middle!

Ms. Belmar's class was working on their CER's (Claim, Evidence, and Reasoning). This is a structured way for students to construct written or verbal responses, especially when analyzing texts, making arguments, or explaining their thinking.
